Propellant Feed System
The Odyssey propellant feed system is designed to operate at high pressures, allowing for future scaling of chamber pressures and flow rates. The feed system is a pressure regulated set up with nitrogen used as the pressurant.
The Odyssey engine is desired to operate at 500 PSIA chamber pressure and 1 kg/s oxidizer flow. These requirements lead to a run rank pressure of roughly 1000 PSIA which is supplied by the high pressure nitrogen tanks.

Overall Design
The feed system was spec’d out to use 3/4 tubing and piping. This allowed us to attain the required flow rates and pressures for our engine and future upscaled engines. This decision also came down to the need to keep the oxidizer flowing slower than 10 m/s through the pipes as a general oxygen safe principle.
